Lion’s Beach & Prospector’s Park

The waterfront on Lake Manitouwadge is the town’s summer gathering spot. Lion’s Beach offers a sandy swimming area, and Prospector’s Park right alongside is a pleasant spot for a picnic or a stroll.

The lake itself is clean and surrounded by dense boreal forest — it feels genuinely remote, even though it’s right in town. There’s free parking and easy access, and on a warm summer day it’s as good as any beach in the north.

A lovely place to unwind after a day of exploring logging roads and chasing waterfalls.
