Don’t miss the first lock built almost 200 years ago to start the unique Trent-Severn Waterway. Now it’s the National Historic Site.

Back in 1832, the government of Upper Canada built this first lock between Sturgeon and Pigeon Lakes, allowing the lumber industry to boom. Bobcaygeon has been designed as Trent-Severn Trail Town.
