Métis Crossing

02

Métis Crossing is a cultural centre located 14 km south of Smoky Lake. It is full of information and artifacts about Métis heritage and culture in Alberta. It is a great place to learn more about how the Métis used to live and how they continue their traditions and legacy to this day.

The area also features a luxurious lodge that overlooks the North Saskatchewan River. And with four different suite options, you’ll be able to find a room that’s perfect for you and your needs. Or, if you’re feeling more outdoorsy, Métis Crossing also features a campground available for use. And with being so far out of town, you’ll be able to see spectacular views of the Milky Way in the night sky.

So, make sure you stop by to learn more about the history of the Métis people while taking in the incredible countryside scenery.
