History

Another stop is the Ottawa House By-The-Sea Museum. Ottawa House was built in 1775. It was the summer home of Father of Confederation Sir Charles Tupper in 1860.

The museum contains hundreds of artifacts portraying daily life, culture, and industry for over 200 years. Ottawa House has many items from the past, including tools, glass, china and furniture. There’s also a transportation display and models of sea vessels.

To top off your visit, grab an ice cream cone and look at the view from the Ottawa House overlooking the Bay of Fundy.
