Petrolia is billed as “Canada’s Victorian Oil Town.” Petrolia Discovery explores the early days of the world’s oil boom. The audience is offered a one-of-a-kind glimpse into history. In addition to the oldest hand-dug wells from the 1850s, as well as the refineries and machine shops that abound.

Petrolia has an incredibly long and deep oil heritage in the form of the wells themselves. A visit to the museum includes both historical displays and a chance to see an authentic oilfield from the 1860s.
