The old railway station area — Place de la Gare — hosts a lovely art exhibition featuring the work of local Laurentian artists. It’s a chance to take in the art and meet the creators in person.
The station itself is a reminder of the village’s railway heritage. The Montreal line was extended to Lac Mercier in 1904, and the station became the centre of community life. Today, the building and its surroundings have a relaxed, creative atmosphere.
A pleasant stop while strolling through the village.
