Pointe au Baril Range Front Lighthouse

03

This lighthouse sits on an island right in front of Pointe au Baril, accessible by boat or water taxi. The bright white lighthouse is open for visitors from mid-June to September, so plan your trip accordingly not to miss opening dates. A fun piece of local history- Pointe au Baril got its name from French fur traders who used the cork from an empty whiskey bottle to mark Pointe au Baril on the map, hence the name point of the barrel.
