Constructed five years before the Titanic, the SS Keewatin is the world’s last remaining Edwardian passenger steamship. This 350-foot, 8-million-pound boat was operational for 57 years and carried passengers and cargo from Southern Ontario to the top of Lake Superior.
It now serves as a museum, offering guided tours of the ship and its artifacts and also houses a gift shop. The SS Keewatin serves as a tribute to the region’s long and rich history and an era of craftsmanship and opulence.
