Every year in June, The Great Walk takes place between Gold River and Tahsis. The Tahsis Lions Club hosts this annual fundraising event.

It takes place on a 63.5-kilometre gravel logging road on Vancouver Island, between Gold River and Tahsis. It encompasses some of the world’s most challenging and picturesque terrain.

The Great Walk begins at 4:00 a.m. at Gold River and concludes sixteen hours later at 8:00 p.m. in Tahsis.

Great Walkers have raised over $1,000,000.00 for a variety of worthwhile causes. Some walkers opt to raise funds for a well-known charity or organization, while others simply walk for the challenge.
