Peacekeepers Park

Peacekeepers Park is a war memorial park located in Angus. The park is filled with commemorative signage commemorating Canadians killed on United Nations and other peacekeeping missions.

This project was sponsored by local veteran associations as well as some local businesses. There are many informational plaques and signs, so visitors can pay their respects to those we lost while learning more about the history of peacekeeping missions in Canada.

Tiffin Centre for Conservation

This gorgeous park and conservation area is located just 10 minutes away from the heart of Angus, Ontario. This lush outdoor space has trails through the wilderness that make it a great spot to hike or cycle. The well-maintained recreational space also features indoor attractions, as volunteers help produce maple syrup and educate visitors on the production process.

The Tiffin Centre is a very popular spot for receptions and events, including summer weddings, birthday parties and baby showers.

Nottawasaga Fishing Park

Nottawasaga Fishing Park is a haven for avid fishers, with a variety of fish available to be caught, as well as a picnic table and fish cleaning station. The river is wide with a current, making it a popular spot for a kayak, paddle or canoe. In addition to the fishing and water activities, several well-maintained trails are open year-round for guests to enjoy.

Pixel Paradise Arcade

This video arcade is a great place to visit with friends and family. They host a wide variety of classic arcade games from the 80s, stepmania, along with pinball machines at just 25 cents per game. The location is family-owned, and the staff are kind and highly knowledgeable.

This is a great place for parties and events, and they also started selling a wide selection of used games to visitors.

Green Acres Golf Centre

This semi-private golf course has been open since 1960. It features 9-holes and a driving range for guests to practice their swing.

The course is very beginner-friendly, with a mildly challenging par of 3. The prices are very reasonable, and the owners are very kind and hospitable.

Angus Recreation Centre

The Angus Recreation Centre is spacious and recently renovated. It is a great spot to exercise or take your family and friends to an event. They have an ice surface, great for group rentals, free skating and hockey. Their floor surface can be used for lacrosse, ball hockey and other indoor sports.

There is also a gymnasium with showers, change rooms and a stage, perfect for any event, fundraiser or celebration.

Mona’s Jerk

Mona’s is a local classic for authentic Caribbean flavours. With a whopping 4.8 stars on google reviews, it is one of the most popular spots in the community to grab a meal and take in the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Nottawasaga River Trail

This spacious hiking trail in Angus is a nice spot to visit year-round to take in the beautiful nature and scenery of the park.

With the nearby sounds of the river, it is a peaceful and serene place to hike or snowshoe in the winter. The trial is pet-friendly, with lots of outdoor recreational space to stop for a rest break or a picnic with family and friends.
