While kayaking, you can admire fantastic views of the nearby Balaklava island.

It was named after the Battle of Balaklava (Crimean War) on its ninth anniversary in 1863 by Captain Pender of the Beaver.

This tiny island has a lighthouse at Scarlett Point (1905) to aid shipping.
