Santa’s Village

Muskoka’s Theme Park

Visit Santa’s Village: Muskoka’s Theme Park if you want fun at the town’s popular family amusement park!

This place is like Christmas in the summer – it was built in 1955 to be Santa’s summer home! It was inspired by the town’s location at 45 degrees latitude, halfway between the equator and the North Pole.

If you bring your kids here, they will love the Christmas-themed rides and attractions, and so will you. Visitors can cruise the Muskoka River, ride Rudolf’s Roller Coaster, and ride Santa’s train. Santa’s Village is also a sports land for visitors can enjoy batting cages, miniature golf, laser tag, and go-cart on their Grand Prix. Plus, Santa will be there!

Bracebridge Falls & Silver Bridge

The Bracebridge Falls is located downtown, where the Silver Bridge is – one of the town’s trademark sights. It is where the North Branch of the Muskoka River’s water goes, and what the Bracebridge Falls does is that it empties this water down into Bracebridge Bay. A must-see waterfall where you will enjoy a short, nice walk while admiring its environment and history. Visitors can have picnics on picnic tables and sit down and relax. Great photos can also be taken here, as it is a wonderful sight.

High Falls

Chase more waterfalls at High Falls – located on Cedar Lane Exit of Highway 11. There are five waterfalls at the High Falls site: Pott’s Falls, Muskoka Canyon Falls, Little High Falls, Big High Falls and High Falls Water Park!

The High Falls is one of the largest and steepest waterfalls in the area and is an ideal place to stop by and enjoy the view. Within site is the High Falls Trail, a 1km loop trail open year-round that is great for hiking, running, bird watching, and dog walking. Also, an amazing site to have lunch or snacks and appreciate the silence and solitude.

Woodchester Villa

During the 19th century, Woodchester Villa was one of the few octagonal houses built in Ontario. This makes it an architectural and historic site as it preserves the unique shape of the construction. If you are interested in architecture, you will want to see the octagonal form shown through the chimneys, observation platform, flagpoles, veranda posts, newel posts, and interior door mouldings. There is a list of elements in the house that is worth taking a look at.

Woodchester Villa has a wonderful view as it overlooks the Muskoka River; visitors can see this on both floors. The house was built in 1882 for Henry James Bird and his family since he was a local woollen mill owner. Descendants of the Bird family lived here until 1975, making it one of the oldest residences in Bracebridge. In 1977, the Rotary Club of Bracebridge bought the house and opened it as a public museum and community center.
