On the theme of lakes, another gorgeous, well-known lake is Buntzen. Located at the top of a long hill, this lake puts you right in the mountains surrounded by trees, and nature will still be only minutes away from the Anmore town center.

Buntzen lake is a reservoir operated by BC Hydro; however, don’t worry, this lake is still free for the public to use and play in. There is also the hidden benefit of power generation. This lake is much bigger and cooler than Sasamat lake, so because they are so different, both or worthy stops on your trip.
