Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 52 min to complete this 7.2km hiking route. This trail is great for cross-country skiing, hiking, and mountain biking, and you’ll unlikely encounter many other people while exploring.

The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. By walking or even on skis through the various loops, you will discover viewpoints, rest areas, lookouts and historical, geological and wildlife interpretation panels. A play area for children, as well as a very artistic picnic area, complete the site’s offer.

The site stands out as one of the rare places in the Thetford region where nature has regained its rights following mining. You will have the chance to explore two former mine shafts that have become large lakes: the Boston Mine (Boston Lake) and the Carey Mine. Lake Boston is fed by a superb waterfall, which makes the environment conducive to stocking fish for sport fishing. Bathing is therefore prohibited! The Carey Mine, for its part, offers a magnificent view of dark turquoise water.
