Kicking Horse River

The Kicking Horse River is one of the wildest, most intense recreational waterways in Canada and is popular with kayakers for its Class II to IV rapids.

The river was named in 1858 when James Hector, a member of the Palliser Expedition, reported being kicked by his packhorse while exploring the river.

Kicking Horse River is a great place to go if you have not experienced water rafting. The Kicking Horse white water rafting is known as the best Canadian Rockies rafting.
