Out of the Fog Lighthouse Museum

Out of the Fog, Lighthouse Museum is a history museum featuring artifacts displaying what living in a historic lighthouse would be like. The museum is led by previous lighthouse keepers and sailors with extensive knowledge of historical lighthouses. They can help visitors discover and learn about the different artifacts on display in the museum and provide an insight into what it was like operating a historical lighthouse in the past.

Prince Henry Sinclair Monument

Prince Henry Sinclair, a Scottish and Norwegian nobleman, landed at Chedabucto Bay in 1398. he was one of the first Europeans to visit North America on a voyage pre-dating Columbus.

The monument was erected on the place in 1996. It is a fifteen-ton granite boulder with a black granite narrative plaque.

Guysborough Waterfront Trail

Guysborough Waterfront Trail is a hiking trail located in Guysborough. The trail is 1.8km long and is appropriate for all levels of hikers. The trail is beginner-friendly and should take around 20 minutes to complete. The Waterfront Trail is perfect for bird watching, running, and walking and is open all year round for visitors to enjoy.

Boylston Provincial Park

Boylston Provincial Park is a public natural park with many activities and amenities. In the park, there are 34 campsites with a large variety of hiking trails located around them. The park also has access to a freshwater lake, where visitors can swim, kayak, fish, and participate in various water activities. Services offered include washrooms with showers, free wifi, firewood/ice, a dishwashing station, and drinking water taps.

Tor Bay Provincial Park

Tor Bay Provincial Park is a public natural park located in a rocky area of the Nova Scotian shoreline. The park offers many activities, such as camping, hiking, biking, and picnic areas, and water activities, such as swimming, kayaking, boating, fishing, and many more. Within the park, there are also fine sand beaches, perfect for kids to play around in. The park offers many services, including fully functioning bathrooms with water and wifi.

Old Court House Museum

The Old Court House Museum is a historical museum displaying artifacts of historical significance to the Guysborough region. The museum’s goal is to educate visitors on how people in the region lived in the past and focuses on the town’s large marine, agricultural, and lumbering history. Exhibits contain artifacts donated by residents of the local area and tools and handiwork of the Acadian and Black settlements.

Guysborough Marina

Guysborough Marina is the official harbour of the town of Guysborough. Visitors can observe the water and the surrounding landforms, which is an amazing place to watch the sunset. Boating is also available here, with multiple tour services offered by individual companies. Tours include fishing tours, whale watching, or just boating around the nearby landforms and observing the scenery.
