Nagagamisis Provincial Park

The beauty of Ontario can be found here in Nagagamisis Provincial Park, surrounded by the lush Boreal Forest. This provincial park was named by early Cree groups living in the Blyth area Nagagamisis, meaning a lake with a sandy shore. Aptly named, this park is lined by a beautiful strip of sandy shore. Nestled in the dense Boreal Forest, here is home to hundreds of species of birds who nest here, making Nagagamisis a bird watcher’s paradise. As a historical landmark, Nagagamisis park is home to indigenous artifacts that were dated back 1000 years, making this a scenic park with a very long cultural history.
