Original Humboldt Historic Site

Original Humboldt Historic site signifies the history and culture. It is a self-paced tour with art installations, interpretive storyboards, and grass trails around the acres of land.

There are also benches and trails around the land to view the beautiful historic site. Some of the history is the telegraph station and red river cart. This place represents history in beautiful artistic works.

Humboldt and District Museum

The Humboldt and District Museum illustrates the heritage of Humboldt on the museum’s three floors. The museum is open all year round. It exhibits the stories of the organizations that contributed to the development of Humboldt: religious organizations, business communities, a one-room schoolhouse, and a pioneer kitchen and parlour.

In addition, there is a sports hall of fame that recognizes the efforts of the sports people. Moreover, the museum offers tours of the three floors. They also provide activities for kids, like experimenting with pen and ink and teaching Morso code. It is a great place to learn about the history of Humboldt.

The gallery features mixed media sculptures using glass, ceramic, metal, wood and collaborated art pieces of clay and glass. It also expresses the hopes and healing messages globally. It also offers programs and tours for the public.

As it is a mixed media gallery, artists interested in exhibiting can showcase their work. The gallery is filled with a variety of artistic pieces.

Humboldt’s Historic Water Tower

From 1915 to 1977, Humboldt Water Tower provided water and pressure to the people of Humboldt. The water tower has a unique historic structure accessible to the public.

They offer private tours and guided tours. Moreover, the water has beautiful stained glass artwork, a beautiful spiral staircase, and a mindblowing aerial view of Humboldt. Also, taking wedding photos and family on the beautiful spiral staircase is available for a fee. It is a great place to learn about water conflicts on prairie land and enjoy the beautiful view.

Benson Hingley Military Museum

Benson Hingley Military Museum is located in the Royal Canadian Legion branch 28. The museum showcases the uniforms and the machinery used in the military.

The museum is not open all year round. However, appointments can be made to tour the museum. It is a great place to learn about the history of Canada and the military machinery used.

Home Town of Heptathlete Brianne Theisen-Eaton

Brianne Thiesen-Eaton is a track and field athlete who participated in competitions like heptathlon and women’s pentathlon.

Theisen-Eaton was raised in Humboldt. While in high school, she participated in track and field, volleyball, and soccer. She found her niche in the track and field combined events and represented Canada at the 2005 World Youth Championships in Athletics.

Finally, Brianne won the bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Humboldt Golf Course is an award-winning 18-hole golf course. They offer golf lessons to adults, teens, and corporate events. Not only has the outdoor golf course, but it also has indoor golf simulators to enjoy, which gives an authentic gameplay feel.

In addition to the golf course, it has an event tent with a beautiful scenic area for parties. They also have catering options, a dance floor and audio systems available. A great place to party and play golf simultaneously.

Humboldt Campground

Humboldt Campground is located beside the golf course. The campground has RVs that are sheltered in a beautiful treed area. Power, washrooms, showers, historical caboose and 18-hole mini golf to enjoy are available.

It is a great place to stay and enjoy the beautiful view with small perks like mini golf.

Humboldt Court House

Admire the stunning architecture of this exceptionally well-maintained historical building both inside and out. Still in use to this day, though no public tours are offered, you should tour the building if the opportunity arises.
