World’s Largest Paperclip

Unveiled in 2007, this 15-foot-tall 3000-pound paper clip holds the Guinness World Record for the largest paper clip on earth. Located in the centre of Bell Park, this paper clip was built to commemorate the series of trades in which blogger Kyle MacDonald traded a single red paper clip for a house in Kipling.

Paperclip House

Visit the now-famous house that Kyle MacDonald received to a cap of his remarkable series of trades.

With a plaque outside commemorating the Guinness Book of Records distinction of “best internet trade,” the house is now home to the Paperclip Cottage Café, serving up scrumptious eats to anyone coming to see the house for themselves.

Kipling and District Museum

Bekevar Historic Site

Based on the twin-spired Great Church in Debrecen, Hungary, the Bekevar Presbyterian Church was the centre of the Hungarian community for many years. Now designated as a Municipal Heritage Property due to its architecture and landscape design, this church, located about 12 km south of Kipling, offers guided tours in July and August. It is a must-see for anyone visiting Saskatchewan town.

Heritage Walking Tour

Stopping at 19 historically significant and architecturally unique places throughout Kipling, the Heritage Walking Tour is a great way to experience the town’s heritage while enjoying the outdoors.

Guidebooks for the tour are available at the town office just south of the Paperclip, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
