Snowmobiling in Black-River-Matheson

Winters here may be appreciated since there are 384 km of well-maintained snowmobile routes and 10 feet of snowfall each year. One of the biggest winter enterprises in Black River-Matheson is snowmobiling. The trail system draws riders from close and far.

With the amount of excellent snow in the region, winter sports enthusiasts may go outside and enjoy themselves every day. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are also highly popular.

Labour Day Weekend

This attraction has a warm, small-town feeling to it. There are many activities that all ages can enjoy. These activities include a BBQ, movie night, exhibits, live entertainment, and many more.

Thelma Miles Museum

This attraction illustrates the Black River-Matheson towns’ historical development between 1900 and 1945. Over 20,000 objects from the museum’s collection are on display.

There are also guided tours available that the entire family can enjoy.

Talbock Lake

You can enjoy a nice and quiet picnic here with family and friends. It is well suited for swimming and during warm weather. The clear water is what attracts people to the beach.

You can easily spend the entire day here and enjoy water activities such as kayaking, canoeing, and other sports. However, this lake does not permit fishing of any kind.

Lac Gauthier

Lac Gauthier is a small lake in Ontario. There’s a beautiful trail that leads to this lake that typically takes 1 hour and 11 minutes to walk. The leading trail is classified as an easy trail that is well-suited for all ages.

Perry Lake

This lake has a private small lake feeling, which is great for quality time with the people you love. You can come here any time of the year to enjoy its beauty. In the summer, the water is perfect for swimming in; in the winter, it’s perfect for taking a walk in your snow shoes.
