Fairmont Le Chateau Montbello

Operating for over 90 years, the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello is known for its cozy and welcoming atmosphere, despite being the world’s largest log cabin resort!

 

Offering over 40 activities and experiences, including a golf course, a relaxing spa, hiking and mountain biking, and several leisure, lap, and whirlpools.

The resort hosted the 1983 NATO Nuclear Planning Group and the 1981 G7 Economic Summit.

Chocomotive Artisanal Chocolate Factory

Chocomotive earned its namesake after moving into the old Montebello train station. Since its opening in 2010, they have been offering tasty artisanal chocolates that are Transfair Canada certified, meaning all their goodies are made with fair trade chocolate, sugar, and cocoa.

Chocomotive offers carefully crafted chocolates in various flavours, from creamy caramel and maple butter to strawberry basil and gin and tonic!

Parc Omega

Parc Omega offers a unique safari experience, letting visitors get up close and personal with local Canadian animals, from deer to bears and wolves. With 12 km of roads on 890 hectares, visit all the animals throughout the park and perhaps spend a night camping on the grounds!

They also offer a unique “sleep with the wolves” experience where cabins have a wall-to-wall window overlooking the wolves’ habitat.

Manoir Papineau National Historic Site

Manoir Papineau displays the rich heritage of Quebec, featuring the grand estate of Louis-Joseph Papineau, a rising Canadian politician of the past. The Manoir Papineau was home to the Papineau family from 1850 to 1929.

The estate features various gardens, from flower to vegetable, and the grand Manoir Papineau, with its towers on each corner, resembles a modern-day castle.
