The place you must visit in Mundare is this 12.8 m (42 feet) tall statue of a Ukrainian “kolbasa” sausage. It pays tribute to Stawnichy’s Meat Processing, a famous sausage factory operating in town since 1959. This giant sausage replica is not something you can often come by in any other town.

Besides the large sausage, you will also find a buffalo replica. It is one of the buffalo replicas once located along Gateway Boulevard during the World Championships in Athletics in Edmonton in August 2001.
