The first settlers arriving in the area (now Naicam) were predominantly Scandinavian. They soon transformed the rich virgin bushland into the high-yielding farmland it is today. The town’s sign reminds visitors about the area’s Scandinavian/Viking history.

Originally a pioneer school, the Naicam museum was later converted into a museum and officially opened in 1974. The museum has many artifacts and collections from Naicam and its surroundings past.

Established as a regional park in 1972, this beautiful, quiet park located on an island first began development so Naicam residents would have a place to enjoy themselves. The Park features a sand beach, several wildlife, a children’s play area, and camping spaces. Visitors can swim, stroll on a scenic trail, or enjoy a picnic with family and friends.
Bring down your snowmobile and enjoy almost 300 kilometres of trails in east central Saskatchewan. With outhouses and shelters located along the trails, the experience is made more enjoyable and accessible.
