The Pinehurst Lake Conservation Area is covered mainly by a Carolinian forest surrounding a 9-hectare lake. Visitors can camp, hike, swim, picnic, canoe, icefish, snowshoe, and much more.  There are 169 serviced campsites, and reservations can be made online. Picnic tables are scattered around the area for easy setup and barbecues. For those interested in birding, more than 100 bird species have been recorded in the area.
