mermaid statue rainy lake

The Rainy Lake Mermaid is said to watch the coming and goings of the lake. The beautiful statue in the middle of Rainy Lake is constructed out of steel rods, old boat propellers and cement. It was constructed in the 1930s by Gordon A. Schlichting.

The statue can be seen by boat near Copenhagen Island!
