History

On the shores of Lake Etchemin, you will find a sanctuary dedicated to the Virgin Mary; it is the Notre Dame d’Etchemin sanctuary. Father Adrien Ouellet had it built in 1952. This place of meditation and prayer welcomes pilgrims and visitors in the afternoon throughout the summer season.
