History

Constructed in 1883, the St. Michael’s Church served members of Brant Township until its closure in 1952. In the early 1990s, a fire (suspected incendiary) destroyed all but the bell tower. It was never rebuilt.

You can view its ruins on a peaceful dirt road just minutes outside Chesley, Ontario.
