Willibald Farm Distillery & Brewery

The Willibald Farm Distillery & Brewery includes both a farm and a restaurant. The farm provides seasonal produce and beverages such as beer, seltzers, and cocktails. For a dine-in experience, visit the restaurant and order from a selection of beers, beverages, and a variety of food, including Cavatelli, Burrata, Pizzas, and many more. A gift shop is also on-site where visitors can purchase gift boxes and cocktail kits.

Pinehurst Lake Conservation Area

The Pinehurst Lake Conservation Area is covered mainly by a Carolinian forest surrounding a 9-hectare lake. Visitors can camp, hike, swim, picnic, canoe, icefish, snowshoe, and much more.  There are 169 serviced campsites, and reservations can be made online. Picnic tables are scattered around the area for easy setup and barbecues. For those interested in birding, more than 100 bird species have been recorded in the area.

Pipers Glen Park

Pipers Glen Park includes a playground, soccer field, and baseball diamond. This is the perfect place to relax while the kids burn off some energy. Beyond the park is a hiking trail that runs alongside the Nith River. This quiet trail is the perfect place to observe nature or bird watching.

Lake view is a hidden, cozy gem in Ayr. This nature preserve has a beautiful view of Jedburgh Pond. Opposite this pond is the Campbell Trail which leads to Watson Pond. Lake View allows visitors to relax and take a peaceful stroll.

F.W.R Dickson Wilderness Area

With a small lake, prairies, forests, and wetland, this wildness area is home to various species. The trail is shaped as a figure eight with long and short trail options. The hike itself has terrain that can range from easy to moderately difficult. The wetlands include boardwalks, and paths become narrower in areas with heavy plant growth.

This family-run farm offers visitors the option to buy various fresh produce depending on the season. If you are visiting Ayr in June, this farm allows visitors to do their strawberry picking!
