Parc régional des Grandes-Rivières du lac Saint-Jean

Do-Mi-Ski

Do-Mi-Ski is a small ski hill located at the heart of the city. You can spend a wonderful day here with family and friends.

The Outdoor Center offers six alpine skiing and snowboarding runs, two tube slides, a new training hill, and many kilometres of trails for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Additionally, cycling enthusiasts can practice their sport in winter thanks to the maintained bike route, and runners and walkers can enjoy the nearby trails.

Stop-Bouffe

Stop-Bouffe is a true icon in the town and one of the area’s busiest restaurants.

Offering an à la carte menu, breakfasts at all times, an everchanging daily menu, unlimited coffee, a children’s menu and a wide choice of trios, the restaurant is likely to have something everyone can enjoy.

Favourite items on the menu are the pizza with delicious cheese and a crust that almost tastes like a croissant. Other favourites are the poutine and hot dogs.

The Old Mill

Located 20 minutes outside of town in nearby Sainte-Jeanne D’Arc, The Old Mill has an old mill, as you could have guessed, but also features other older buildings nearby.

Your entrance fee is $5 per person or $15 for a family of four. The Old Mill is open daily from mid-June to mid-August.

This lovely restaurant serves all kinds of delicious breakfasts to start the day off right. For lunch or dinner, the restaurant prepares a family menu where everyone can find something to eat

from poutine, pizza, chicken, hamburger, and complete daily specials prepared with fresh and tasty ingredients.

The restaurant’s specialties are their giant hot dogs and hamburgers, which will have you full for the rest of the day.

Bar Laitier Le Palais Glacé

Bar Laitier Le Palais Glacé is the perfect place for a treat or a late-night snack. The ice cream parlour is often crowded, but service is very fast and is certainly well worth the wait.

Ice cream is made with real fruit done in front of you. The blueberry ice cream is highly recommended by many and is delightful.
