Graffiti Alley

Graffiti Alley, located in TORONTO’S FASHION District, parallels Queen Street West’s fashionable section. It incorporates the adjacent alleyway of Rush Lane and spans three city blocks. It’s a well-liked location to see some of Toronto’s top murals and street art works.

Graffiti Alley, once a popular location for illegal graffiti painting, inspired a legalization campaign by the Queen Street West Business Improvement Association. StreetARToronto, or StART, a program that offers money and approval for public murals and graffiti art, was formed out of the struggle in 2011 when it was declared an area of municipal significance.

Today, Graffiti Alley is a well-liked location for photo shoots and a gallery for famous artists like Duro.

Toronto Music Garden

The waterfront’s Music Garden was created by landscape architect Julie Messervy and a team of landscape architects from Toronto’s Parks and Recreation Department in a way that genuinely translates Bach’s First Suite for Unaccompanied Cello into the natural world. Visitors travel through six different garden areas, beginning with the twists and turns of the riverscape, until arriving at the Giant Grass Steps, which form a curved Amphitheatre where summertime performances are held.

Factory Theatre

The Factory Theatre was the first theatre to declare that it would only develop, produce, and present Canadian plays. It is a hive of theatrical activity that presents cutting-edge Canadian theatre and is dedicated to diversity in its portrayal of the Canadian experience in its broadest sense. The Factory Theatre was founded in 1970. For the first time, original Canadian theatre made a breakthrough in a field dominated by British and American playwrights. “The home of the Canadian playwright” is how the group is known. The Factory has taken the lead in encouraging diversity in theatre, reflecting the Canadian experience from various views, in addition to its dedication to original Canadian theatre.
