Grab a spot on the deck and let the Seguin River do the talking, with the Trestle Bridge framed right in front of you. Order the Nutski Peanut Butter Whisky sour if you’re feeling adventurous, or a flight of small-batch spirits if you’d rather sample your way through the menu first.
Housed in the old Crofter’s Jam Factory where the Seguin meets Georgian Bay, Legend Spirits is a distillery, cocktail bar, restaurant, and retail shop founded by local couple Raymond and Susan Boyden along with longtime family friend Steven Joyce.
Downstairs, master distillers turn out small-batch whiskeys, vodkas, and gins, including the popular Watermelon Vodka, Nutski Peanut Butter Whisky, and Mango Pineapple Gin. Upstairs, the restaurant opens onto a 1,500-square-foot wood-and-glass deck overlooking the river and the Trestle Bridge — reliably the best seat in the house for both the food and the view. As co-founder Ray puts it, the spot where the river meets the bay has been a gathering place for hundreds of years, and Legend Spirits tries to carry that spirit through in its hospitality.
