Omemee Municipal Park

This waterfront park has sprawling forests, lush greens and acres of space to enjoy time outdoors in the summer.

The park features a small playground, picnic tables and grass patches for recreational activities. There are several well-maintained hiking trails as well as public washrooms for guests to use.

The area is handicap-friendly and includes several private areas for families with small children.

Windy Ridge Conservation Area

Windy Ridge features spectacular year-round views of the Oak Ridges Moraine, which was left behind by a glacier centuries ago. In its place is a valley with rich nature, wildlife and lots to see. There are several lookouts along hiking trails within the conservation area ranging in difficulty to suit all visitors.

In the winter, the spot is a favourite for snowshoeing, tobogganing or a winter hike. There is ample parking year-round, and the conservation area is pet-friendly.

Emily Provincial Park

Emily Provincial Park is a favourite for camping, hiking, and exploring wildlife in Omemee. Situated on the waterfront, the park features several campgrounds for guests to enjoy, with a mixture of electric and unserviced sites.

In the summer, the park makes a great launch for various water activities, including paddling, fishing, and kayaking. There is also a beach area and several hiking trails with an impressive green canopy. The staff are friendly, and the facilities are well-kept.

Beaver Narrows Cottages and RV Resort

Located on the Pigeon River in the Kawarthas, Beaver Narrows Cottages and RV Resort is a great place to spend a weekend in the summer.

Open May to October, there are over 266 campsites for guests to use and cottages to make any long-weekend enjoyable. Facilities include boat launches, a pool, firepits and more.

Omemee Beach

Within the Omemee provincial park is Omemee Beach. This 150m stretch of sandy beach sits on the shore of the Pigeon river, which is 27km long. The beach is a popular spot to fish, skate, or launch various water sports like canoes, kayaks or stand-up paddleboards.

A small family park area and several grass patches make a great spot for a picnic.

Omemee Rail Bridge

Over 200 metres long, this impressive bridge is a great place to visit if you’re going for a hike in Omemee. Located on the Rail Trail, this bridge is a great spot to look out over the river, take pictures, or bird watch. There is spectacular scenery in the park that changes from season to season.
