The Site historique maritime de la Pointe-au-Père is a maritime museum. The museum displays 200 years of maritime history.

It includes the first submarine open since 2009 to the public in Canada, HMCS Onondaga.

Coastal Trails at Rimouski River

The Coastal Trails at Rimouski River are a beautiful destination if you are interested in hiking and sightseeing. This scenic walking/biking trail follows along the coastline of St Lawrence River which provides a beautiful view.

There are fabulous restaurants nearby which make this trail the perfect stop for travellers. The trail also has accessible rest stops with washrooms, water fountains, and bike pumps.

Parc National du Bic

The Parc National du Bic founded in 1984 has a smooth walk leading to a rocky beach. This is home to a huge population of harbour seals and gray seals.

It has a pyramid-looking rock not restricted from climbing leading to a beautiful view. Activities such as skiing, snowshoe, fat biking, kayaking, and much more.

Parc Beauséjour

Parc Beausejour is park on the Rimouski River.

There are bike trails from the Parcours Gouin route going through it, a gorgeous view of Rivière-des-Prairies and Laval, a pretty good playground, and places to picnic and BBQ.

You can rent kayaks. Picnic tables, benches, and beautiful trees and flowers highlight some of what you will see at this location.

Site Historique de la Maison Lamontagne

This is a historic place showing the Nouvelle-France era, the architecture, and the life of its inhabitants. The house was built in 1744.

On Fridays, there is a traditional bread made in the outdoor oven, and exhibitions are held inside the house showcasing the Nouvelle-France lifestyle.

Regional Museum Rimouski

The museum is housed in the city’s oldest stone church.

Built in 1823 – 1824, the building was turned into a museum in 1972. To make the exhibits more accessible to local residents and visitors alike, the museum also organizes evening open-house events.
