If you’re lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the so-called “St Louis Light,” a visual phenomenon reported by many residents and visitors to St. Louis.

The light, which appears to be the headlight of a train, has been explained by residents as evidence of a ghost train run by a ghostly conductor who was apparently decapitated on the tracks in the 1920s. Another explanation proposed by two grade 12 students from La Ronge states that the light results from the diffraction of distant vehicle lights.

Whichever story you believe, the light is a well-known attraction in St Louis, and all visitors are encouraged to keep their eyes peeled for light on St. Louis night.
