Arbutus Park

Have a picnic or spend a day by the clear water of Cowichan Lake with friends; Arbutus Park offers endless activities! As it is one of the few beaches that have lifeguards during swimming season, it is the perfect place for families. Parents can unwind stress-free while children play by the water guarded by trained lifeguards. Amenities here include a picnic area with tables, benches, a picnic shelter, swing sets and changing rooms. There are also a few trails surrounding the beach to hike, walk or go cycling!

Pine Point Recreation Site

The Pine Point Recreation Site is a popular camping and recreational site in town. As it is situated on the shore, it houses a boat launch and offers activities like swimming, fishing, hiking, paddling and boating. Visitors can rent either RV sites or tent sites, depending on their preferences and requirements. Visit Pine Point Recreation Site for an escape into nature!

Swordfern Trail

Swordfern trail is a 4.7-kilometre out-and-back trail that gives plenty to explore as it is connected to various points in town. Considered an easy route, it takes 1 hour to complete on average. Activities here include walking, hiking, biking and bird watching.

The trail leads to a small area with a quaint beach where you can swim or just sit and relax, surrounded by mesmerizing scenery.

Price Park

Named after the Price family, this park is home to a network of lush trails that connect Youbou road to Cowichan Lake. Through the trail, you will find many picnic areas for pit stops to sit and enjoy a meal against scenic views. Once you reach the lake, you can swim, fish, canoe or paddle! The park also features parking and seasonal toilet facilities. Whether you spend a day here with the kids or visit for a short walk, Price Park will surely offer you a memorable experience!

Youbou Little League Park

Aimed at the younger lot, Youbou Little League Park is the perfect place to spend a relaxing day and unwind with the whole family. The multi-use park has a fully equipped play area with a few dugouts, horseshoe pits and swings. The large onsite baseball field is accompanied by bleachers, providing ample seating for visitors. Pets are also welcome here but must be kept on a leash.

Youbou Bar & Grill

Youbou Community Bowling Alley

Youbou Community Bowling Alley is a retro four-lane bowling alley built in 1951. It has preserved the original interiors and bowling lanes, providing a unique bowling experience from the time of handset pins.
