In 1958, Deep River was the subject of an article in Maclean’s Magazine by famous journalist Peter C. Newman.
In the article “The Deep River: Almost the Perfect Place to Live,” the author describes Deep River:
“The Utopian town where our atomic scientists live and play has no crime, no slums, no unemployment and few mothers-in-law.”
