Eastend has a creative streak that runs deeper than you’d expect in a town of 500 people. In the early 1950s, a ceramics course was offered here to stimulate a local industry — and it took. Today, Eastend artisans produce pottery using local clay, and studios and galleries dot the town.

The Friday Night Market (late June to mid-September) brings out local food, crafts, and community.

The Big Flat Folk Fest, a completely homegrown volunteer-powered annual festival, celebrates western, folk, Americana, and bluegrass songwriting against the backdrop of the Frenchman River Valley.

Dino Days Weekend in July is a family favourite.

The Ranch Rodeo and Canada Day celebrations round out the summer.
