A scenic park in the heart of town, with tree-covered trails winding around ponds and over bridges. Ducks and other waterfowl are almost always present, and the shaded paths make for a peaceful walk.
Castor offers a series of historic walking tours that wind through the town and through Pals Park. The tours connect the town’s heritage buildings, landmarks, and stories — a lovely way to spend an hour or two.
In the 1920s, Castor residents started a community tree-planting program. The result, a century later, is one of the prettiest tree-lined towns on the Alberta prairies.
The park is near 47 Street, Theresetta Catholic School (the park is right beside it), and the historic hospital site (just above the park).
