New Brunswick Potato Museum
In the French Fry Capital of the World, it’s hardly surprising that this humble vegetable gets its own museum — but you may be surprised by how interesting it is.
Potato World tells the story of New Brunswick potatoes from the ground up: the history, the industry, the science, and the culture of potato farming in the Saint John River Valley. Hands-on exhibits, vintage farming equipment, and displays on everything from seed development to international export make this a genuinely engaging visit. A private guide walks you through — a nice surprise for a small-town museum.
The on-site restaurant features potato-based dishes (of course). The Visitor Information Centre is located here as well — pick up maps and local tips before exploring the rest of town.
