Shiktehawk Walking Trail

A gentle 2-kilometre trail following the Shiktehawk stream through the heart of Bristol. Bridges, steps, and scenic viewpoints along the way make this an easy, pleasant walk for all ages.

The name Shiktehawk comes from the Wolastoqey (Maliseet) word for this place — legend says it was the site of a battle. Today, it’s considerably more peaceful. The trail is well-maintained, shaded by forest, and a lovely way to stretch your legs.

A perfect pairing with a visit to the farm market or the art gallery.
