Runner-Up for Excellence and Innovation in Product Development (2008), the Shogomoc Historical Railway Site showcases a beautifully restored 1914 CPR train station and three restored CPR cars along the waterfront.
The site includes a gift shop, train-themed playground equipment for kids, and a fine dining restaurant called FRESH. But the real surprise is the accommodation: the Shamrock Train Inn & Suites has converted two railway cars into guest rooms. Sleeping in a CPR rail car on the banks of the Saint John River is one of the most unique stays in New Brunswick.
